We had a very successful Burn’s Memorial Dinner / Visit from Federation Chief and consort.

It was a great pleasure to be able to host them together with Margaret West from Gauteng. John and Cathy Bell were present as well and assisted with the formalities at the dinner. I am enclosing a couple of photos for your enjoyment.

We had one of our most well attended AGM’s ever with virtually all members attending, well done! The Steak/Chicken braai was a great success and thanks to all who did the buying, cooking, preparing etc. Sincere thanks, as always, go to Jean for letting us use the tennis club.

The committee remain as is with the exception of Peter Gibbs who retired. Good luck to Dave and Sandy for the coming year.

To be held Saturday 26^th June at the Golf Club and this will take the form of our Burn’s Memorial Dinner as well as the visit of the Federation Chief and her consort. I believe that our guests will be taking part in the proceedings so it should be a great event! More info on time and price etc. in the next letter but Callies members will be subsidised.

1. Joy has left for a 3 month visit to her sons and we look forward to hearing all about her travels.

2. Sandy is back at work after her fall and is coping with her broken hand.

3. Anne went on a trip to Cape Town to see Andre Rieu much to the envy of all!
