Burns Night

Saturday 23 January 2010, 19h00 for 19h30, Benoni Country Club, Morris Avenue, Morehill. The great traditional celebration of the life and works of our national poet. Tickets R110 (children under 10 R50). To book, please phone Norma on 011 867 2250, Christine on 011 867 5421 or Heather on 011 465 1979.

Goblin’s Cove

For our February function we are looking at an outing to Goblin’s Cove (see below) but it will actually be on Saturday 6 March. The cost will be around R200 a head, including a three-course lunch. (They do a kiddies menu ranging from R35-R49). We will require firm bookings by 19 February but would appreciate if you could indicate your interest before that by phoning the above numbers.

Goblin’s Cove Fantasy Restaurant offers a unique dining experience in a beautiful setting and a superb menu. Venture into the olde world atmosphere of this lovely spot, where faeries and goblins live and play. The restaurant is quite unique, with its cove shaped architecture, set in a natural forest, on the banks of small lake on the Magaliesburg river. Murals, sculptures, candles, and a host of nooks and crannies make the Goblin’s Cove a delightful place to explore, for adults and children alike. We have a lovely aviary where we boast a beautiful array of pheasants and ducks. Our “Fairywinkle” Shop has a selection of beautiful gifts and is every little girl’s dream. There is a large Jungle Gym playground for the kids to entertain themselves while the adults treat themselves to fabulous cocktails and delicious food.
